Paralyzed Dog Tied Up in a Sack and Left to Die
A man walking home from the lake made a heartbreaking discovery in the brush: a dog tied up in a sack, abandoned and left to die.
He brought her home immediately and reached out to us for help. We rushed her to our clinic, where we learned she is paralyzed from a spinal fracture, severely anemic, dehydrated, and battling both heartworm and a blood parasite. Her appetite is weak, but she is managing to eat and drink small amounts on her own.
Sunshine is now safe and beginning treatment for the blood parasite. Her blood levels are being closely monitored, and she may need a transfusion if they don’t improve. She has a long road ahead, but she is no longer alone. Her name is Sunshine, and she deserves every chance at life. You can help Sunshine fight for her future.
